We promised you service and that we have be striving at all cost to maintain. I want to appreciate my fellow executives and other officials of the students union government for their supports to our projects.
I want to use this medium to specially appreciate the Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University , Prof Fidelis Okafor, For his fatherly love to the students and the university at large. " Daddy, you are a father per excellence and Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University will for ever be indebted to you, for your insummable contributions to her development". It's a thing of pride to say that our university can no longer be regarded as a "glorified secondly school"
We created history as the first to reduce transportation from igbariam junction by shuttles, tricycles and buses to fifty naira at Night even when the pump price of fuel is a hundred and forty five naira per litre, on like the usual hundred naira or hundred and fifty naira shuttle, tricycles and buses charge at Night. Great thanks to my ever dogged director of transport ( Marcello) and the Unions task force committee.
We also brought for the students security, as we attracted the " SPECIAL VIGILANTE ON STUDENTS MATTERS" and If one would agree with me, our tenure has recorded the least rate of robbery.
We cant forget the bringing of free Health care for our students in all hospitals, through the Tiship Health scheme.
Our government also brought about inter-campus shuttling and people who graduated two years from now upward and those from Third year up, will know how it used to be.
We promised to fight for electricity and it's Very obvious that the project is effectively going on now.
My government have always gone on the rescue of any student incarcerated for no just cause and see that he/she is been release.
Just recently we intervened in the three thousand naira collected for General studies courses and it was reduce to two thousand five hundred naira and those who had paid were refunded.
The admission letter issue can not be left out, our intervention brought about creating an avenue in igbariam campus for students who don't have admission letter to be attended to In igbariam rather than traveling to Uli and also a slide of the amount from fifteen thousand to about seven thousand naira. Thanks to our ever loving Daddy and vice chancellor.
At the apex we have maintained an uninterrupted calendar year - one of the most peaceful academic calendar year ever.
We have also represented the Eagles effectively. Our government produced the NANS joint campus committee chairman( comr ikedi Amachina, Masters student, political science department) after producing the previous chairman. We also produced the JCC director of special duties, ( comr Ezeonwaoye Hyacienth, Hyman, department of Phycology) The chairman campus monitoring committee Anambra of National Association of University Students NAUS. In my own little capacity, I rose to the positions of chairman council of SUG presidents Anambra and secretary council of SUG presidents southeastern Nigeria.
We attribute all our achievements to the Almighty God.
In your supports we have grown these far, and we are grateful to all the students of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University for their supports so far. I will be ready to serve you in other ventures in the future If God permits.
As the election to replace us comes close, we plead that you don't sell your votes, we also plead that you all come out to vote your leaders and not travel home or sleep in your Lodges for whoever wins is your responsibility.
