Suspends Industrial Action
The lecturers of Imo State University (IMSU),
under the auspices of the Academic Staff
Union of Universities (ASUU) has
suspended the three month old industrial
action embarked upon by the union.
The union announced the suspension today,
Wednesday, 22nd June, 2016 after a congress
in Owerri where the ASUU members voted
unanimously to stop the strike.
It was reported that the state government
signed a memorandum of understanding with
the lecturers and promised to fulfill all the
promises made to the staff of the university.
