PRESS RELEASE, 19 OF APRIL 2016. OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT EAGLES REPUBLIC.

Great Eagles and falcons, I bring you this writing away from the Eagles republic . I left the republic for a National convention for Nigerian students in Platue state.
I received complains that the cost of transportation has increased by about 50 percent and that has made it difficult for students staying off campus to attend lectures. My government have been battling with this challenge since we assumed office, some touts have hijacked our park at igbariam junction and has made it difficult for us to regulate cost of transportation.

I plead to all the students who have been inconvenienced by this nonchalance. The students union government have endure this touts for long and we say we can't take it anymore. The problem is that those hoodlums at the Junction, force the drivers shuttling from off campus to school to pay so many dues which warrant them to increase the amount paid for transportation.

We have tried to maintain peace by trying to go into negotiations with them so as not to breach our academic calendar but It seems the oppressors have decided to continue to bring us pain, as they increase price at will without notification. The students union government have decided as follows...

1) That no body should collect dues from the drivers at igbariam junction.
2) That all shuttle and tricycle (keke) drivers should move to the school park at igbariam junction, which is directly opposite the bus stop they are currently loading from.
3)That from next week all students should enter only vehicles loading from the school park at igbariam junction.
We plead that all students help us in the achievement of these goals, so as to make the Eagles republic a better and enjoyable terrain.
We might need you to come out in your numbers but for now stay prepared. I have missed you and the republic at large. Freedom cometh by struggle, the struggle continues and victory is assured.

          For the students union government
        COMR. FELIX U.S IJEGALU
