About 341 students of Bells University of Technology, Ota in Ogun State received their first degree certificates at the 7th Convocation ceremony of the institution for 2013/2014 academic session.

Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor of the Institution, Prof. Isaac Adeyemi, said that 21 students were awarded First Class while
135 others graduated with Second Class Upper. Another 134 emerged with Second Class Lower and 51 with Third Class Degrees.

The ceremony witnessed the conferment of Honourary Doctorate Degrees and presentation of prizes to deserving students and eminent
citizens.

The VC said that all the 34 programmes of the institution had been approved by all the relevant professional bodies and the National
Universities Commission (NUC).
He, however, said that three new programmes:
Civil engineering, Material engineering and
Metallurgical engineering would be introduced
by the 2014/2015 session.
Adeyemi said that the institution had provided
enabling environment for faculties to keep
abreast of modern learning and teaching
methods.
He urged the graduating students to maintain
higher moral integrity and academic progress.
