Dear Sir,
With all due respect to you Sir, pertaining the decision already taken by the school management and its administrative staff in relation to the
allocation of the newly built hostel to the females of this noble institution, we, a faction of students
and inhabitants of the male hostel are writing this letter to you in order to express our heart felt grievance towards the boards decision to allocate the newly built hostels to the females alone.
To the best of our knowledge the hostel in question was built by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for the general interest of both the male and
the female of this noble institution. Imagine a situation whereby in your bid to reduce fornication, you end up promoting homosexuality and
lesbianism within the campus. Also imagine the psychological effect this would have on the students (Both male and female).
The living condition in the male hostel where I currently live can best be described as being horrible and totally dehumanizing. In my room, we are ten in number sharing accommodation in a very minute room that often at times the
inhabitants jostle for space with the rodents and cockroaches also dwelling within.
Our question is, Who represented the Student's interest during this decision making? We hope it is not the SUG because we the students don't have a representative.
why are the males always being marginalized? What is the reason behind sending the ladies over to a poorly developed and ill secured location?
All these are questions we so dearly seek answers to but with no one to provide them to use as our opinions (the students opinions) are adjudged to be worthless and without base.
In conclusion Sir, all we ask of you is to please, reconsider in your decision to allocate the new hostel to the ladies alone because it would be inhumane to turn deaf ears to our plea of equity and the equal distribution of the new hostel.
Thank you Sir, as you yield to your children’s concerns.
Yours Faithfully,
Caring Eagles of ANSU.
