127 First Class as OAU Ife Graduates 9,094 Students

The 40th convocation ceremony of the
Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife ,
Osun State, will see a total of 9,094
graduands receive their first degree
certificates with 127 of them bagging first
class degrees.
This was made known at the pre-
convocation briefing by the Vice Chancellor,
Prof. Bamitale Omole, who said that the
graduands are drawn from 13 faculties.
Omole further stated that 2,360 other
graduating students made second class
upper and lower divisions.
To reward their dedication, the
VC announced automatic scholarship for the
first class graduating students for
postgraduate studies, adding that some of
them may be given jobs at their respective
faculties as graduate assistants.
