The National Universities Commission (NUC) has warned universities that
admits students into unaccredited courses to desist from such as the students will not be mobilized for the one-year National
Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.
The Executive Secretary of NUC, Prof. Julius Okojie, who made the disclosure during the 6th convocation ceremony of Bells University of Technology , said that
private universities are mostly guilty of that.
He said such universities are only creating problems for their students who had taken
the unapproved courses, because they would not be accommodated in the NYSC scheme.
